Wedding Jewelry is important!

Wedding Jewelry is important!

Wedding is the most important and happiest event in every bride’s life. Every bride wants to look her best for her D-day. From makeup to outfit, jewellery to shoes, she wants everything to look perfect! Here are the few points a bride-to-be should keep in her mind before buying her wedding Jewelry.

1. Plan your budget in advance!

Decide how much you want to spend on your Wedding Jewelry. Once you’ve set an amount, you can go on and select the precious metal (Silver, Gold, Platinum etc) and stones (Ex – Diamond, Emerald, Ruby etc) that fits your budget.

You can opt for sterling silver jewellery with cubic zirconia or swarovski stones if you’re on a shoestring budget, They are super affordable yet they look classy and expensive! Or you can mix and match… The main necklace for the D day can be something that has been passed down to you by your grandmother and for the Sangeet event, you can select from hundreds of fun options that are available in artificial jewellery. Nobody can tell they are artificial!

2. Heavy outfit + Heavy Jewellery = Nope!

If you’re going to wear a heavy wedding jewelry then go minimal on the outfit part. Wearing heavy jewellery with heavy outfit can look a little overpowering!

3. Pick your jewellery first!

It will help you to choose the outfit  that’d go with your jewellery!
4. Go for contrasting colours!

Don’t match your outfit’s colour to your jewellery’s stones or beads, rather go for contrasting colours. For example, you can wear emerald or green beads jewellery set in gold with your red coloured lehenga. Trust me, emeralds look super rich and this colour contrast will look better than anything else!

5. Let your parents do the jewellery selection!

Most of the brides-to-be tend to leave this decision to their family members and thats the best way to do it. Weddings jewelry is one of the most important investments that you will make and no one better to do it than your parents. Don’t hesitate to give your opinion though!  🙂

I hope this post will be helpful for soon-to-be-brides. Remember to smile on your big day because smile is the prettiest jewellery you can wear! 🙂

XOXO, Dipti
